Strategi Pelaksanaan PBS Guru-Guru Hilir Perak dan Bagan Datuk Berhubung Kait dengan Estetik

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan meneroka pelaksanaan Pentaksiran Berasaskan Sekolah dalam kalangan guru Pendidikan Seni Visual Sekolah Kebangsaan di Hilir Perak dan Bagan Datuk. Fokus kajian adalah meneliti proses dan strategi pelaksanaan PBS guru-guru PSV Hilir Perak dan Bagan Datuk yang berhubung kait dengan estetik. Kajian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan reka bentuk adalah kajian kes. Kajian kes ini dilakukan di Sekolah Kebangsaan Hilir Perak dan Bagan Datuk yang terdiri daripada dua orang pentadbir sekolah dan sebelas orang guru Sekolah Kebangsaan di bandar dan luar bandar. Data dikumpul menggunakan kaedah temu bual, pemerhatian, rakaman visual dan kajian dokumen. Data-data yang diperolehi akan dianalisis secara berterusan semasa di lapangan menggunakan model alir Miles dan Huberman. Kajian ini juga menggunakan model ASSURE dan konsep estetik sebagai konsep utama. Hasil dapatan menunjukkan penetapan objektif dan proses menganalisis murid masih perlu dipertingkatkan. Kaedah pentaksiran PBS yang digunakan di sekolah ialah pendekatan alternatif dan kebanyakan guru tidak merujuk instrumen yang disediakan dalam pelaksanaan PBS. Kesimpulan daripada kajian menunjukkan pentaksiran PBS PSV lebih sesuai ditaksir berasaskan konsep estetik. Kepatuhan kepada proses PBS adalah penting bagi memastikan kelancaran PBS. Konsep estetik dijadikan rujukan bagi menjamin mutu penilaian karya. Hasil dari kajian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai rujukan untuk mengembangkan Pendidikan Seni Visual dalam kalangan murid di Hilir Perak dan memberi kefahaman kepada guru-guru PSV tentang pelaksanaan PBS yang berlandaskan estetik.

 

This aim of this study was to explore the implementation of School-Based Assessment (SBA) among the Visual Art Eduacation (VAE) teachers in the national primary schools in the district of Hilir Perak and Bagan Datuk. The focus of the research was on the implementation process and strategy of SBA among VAE teachers in three primary schools in Hilir Perak and Bagan Datuk. The study used a qualitative approach based on a case-study design. The case study was conducted in several national primary schools located in the urban and rural areas in the district of Hilir Perak and Bagan Datuk. Data were collected through in-depths interviews, observations, documents reviews, and visual recordings. Data were analysed thematically based on Miles and Huberman’s flow model. This study used the ASSURE model to explore the components in teaching and learning process. Findings showed the level of teachers’ readiness in terms of setting-up learning objectives and the process of analysing students’ performance was still weak. Many teachers were being reluctant to refer the instrument provided for the implementation of SBA by the Ministry of Education. In addition, the research findings indicated that the assessment of SBA in VAE would be better carried out based on the aesthetical concept, which could be made as a reference to ascertain the quality of assessment of visual arts. As a conclusion, the VAE teachers were still weak in the aspect of skills to implement the SBA. Implication from this research was the aspect of refining teachers’ skills to implement the SBA needed to be strengthened though periodical training and relevant guidance for VAE teachers.
