ABD. MUHAIMIN BIN HASBOLLAH : MANIFESTASI SENI UKIRAN KAYU KONTEMPORARI
This study was to highlight the art activist of the contemporary wood carving, Abd. Muhaimin Bin Hasbollah who has contributed to the country's scent name. It can also be used as a reference material for the artistic enthusiasts of wood carving that want to know more closely and to study the uniqueness in its own. In addition, this study is also important for the effort of the contemporary wood carving by future generations and to highlight their fundamental privileges to new talents in the field of wood carving, so that they make it exemplary and reference sources. The objective of the study was to disrupt the life of these artistic players, identify the value of aesthetics and identity characteristics to the artistic produce of contemporary wood carving. The method of study used is qualitative method based on observations, interviews and documentation to complete data collection. The findings of the study showed that wood carving inspired politically motivated flora and fauna, as well as the environment affected by the selection factors, ideas and concepts of motifs. These motifs have their own distinctive but also have implied messages related to life and human relations with nature. This study is hoped to recognize Abd. Muhaimin Bin Hasbollah as an art of contemporary wood carving besides efforts towards maintaining a heritage of the local timber sculpture.
