Abstract

Scheduling of operation theatre is important for hospitals and its complexity is depending on the real situations in each hospital. A poor schedule of operation theatre not only will affect the reputation and revenue of hospitals but also wasting the human resources in hospital. Therefore, each schedule of operation theatre should be effective and maximize the usage of operation theatre. This research is aimed to construct a one-month schedule of operation theatre in strategic level by using Integer Linear Programming method and all the coding will program into AMPL software. Some previous studies that involved of different methods in solving the scheduling problem of operation theatre are summarized in this paper.
